Rainari Health is led by Dr. Rutvic Amin – a physician with a career spanning more than 20 years. He has experience in a variety of medical settings, including primary care, emergency medicine and inpatient medical care. He holds a double board certification in family medicine as well as hospice and palliative care. He is also an experienced health and life coach.
In addition to his medical knowledge, Dr. Amin brings personal experiences which make him the ideal individual to provide wellness and preventative health services. A “type A” medical professional, he understands how the stress of a demanding career impacts one’s health. A cardiac patient who underwent two major open heart surgeries before the age of 45, Dr. Amin has endured the physically and mentally taxing patient experience and understands its ongoing lasting effects. A father of three young kids and a son of aging parents, he knows how one’s own self care can easily fall to the wayside when managing busy work and family life.
Dr. Amin began his career as a primary care physician at Reynolds Army Medical Center in Oklahoma, treating 25-30 patients daily with preventative, chronic, and urgent care. He later moved to Florida, where he worked in a busy outpatient facility and provided inpatient care at Westside Regional Medical Center and Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Amin served as a senior hospitalist at Rochester General Hospital, managing care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those in the CCU, ICU, and step-down units. He also held leadership roles, including Lead Physician for Group Portal, Governance Board member, and Quality Improvement Committee member.
As an observation unit physician, Dr. Amin quickly evaluated and triaged patients in a high-volume setting. Throughout the COVID pandemic, he remained committed to providing the highest quality care during uncertain times.
Dr. Amin is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. In his role with the Palliative care team, Dr. Amin gained expertise in pain and symptom management during end of life, and routinely led discussions on goals of care and end of life decisions with professional staff and families.
Dr. Amin is a certified health and life coach.
